Born and raised in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the heart of the Cherokee Nation, Brandi is the first in her family to graduate from university—a testament to her determination and the values instilled in her by her family and her tribe.
Throughout her life, Brandi has drawn strength from her Cherokee identity. Her experiences growing up in a community rich in culture and tradition shaped her passion for preserving Cherokee sovereignty, language, and traditions. However, she also understands the challenges facing the Cherokee people today and is determined to use her expertise to create meaningful change.
Brandi’s professional background is both diverse and impactful. With years of experience in economic development, government contracting, and international trade, she has worked tirelessly to build opportunities for businesses and communities. She successfully managed a foreign trade zone, fostering economic growth by connecting local businesses to global markets. Her work as a Director of Business Development has equipped her with the skills needed to navigate complex challenges and find innovative solutions.
Brandi’s commitment to her people extends beyond her professional achievements. She is passionate about revitalizing the Cherokee language and ensuring it remains a living, thriving part of the Nation’s identity. Brandi envisions a future where the language is spoken in homes, schools, and community events, bridging generations and strengthening cultural ties.
Running for At Large Tribal Council, Brandi brings a vision of progress that honors tradition. She is dedicated to protecting Cherokee sovereignty, expanding economic opportunities, and fostering international partnerships that elevate the Cherokee Nation on a global stage. As a leader, she pledges to listen to the voices of her people, advocate for their needs, and build a future that reflects the strength and resilience of the Cherokee Nation.
When she isn’t working, Brandi enjoys spending time with her family, her fiancé, and her beloved dogs, Jupiter and Neptune. She draws inspiration from the beauty of the land, the wisdom of her ancestors, and the hope for a thriving future for all Cherokee citizens.
